1917 White Fire Truck
This vehicle was originally the first motorized fire truck in Battle Mountain, Nevada. By the time it was acquired by a private collector in 1978, all traces of its fire fighting heritage had vanished, and everything in back of the seat was stripped. The wood box was built by Clyde Jury when he restored the truck for use by a Carson City resident campaigning for a seat in the State Legislature. The Museum acquired the fully operational vehicle in December 1981.
